Refuge #poetry

What do you see #23

Here I am, a hair’s breath from all I desire
I cling to my salvation
desperately gripping on
my sanity and my peace dependant
my eyes sear the pages before me
summoning a portal in which my mind will delve
Ravenous hunger and scorching thirst bind me
as greedily, I drink and consume every single word
I’m almost there
just a whisker away
from that romantic kiss in the rain
or that thrilling adventure upon the misty mountains
A magical fantasy swims before me
Almost there! Stuck here!
seeking refuge from the struggles of reality
foraging for sunctuary amidst the pages before me

Isn’t that so true. Always clinging on for that V last scene. Great take on the prompt Jude. Thanks for joining in the challenge.
