Song of freedom

#whatdoyousee

Sweetness
The tune of freedom
It plays like silk upon her delicate curves
In his veins it oozes like magma,
inflaming every sinew and searing each nerve
Is it sunset
For she has waited long enough
denied of twilit pleasures
and revels in the night
Is it sunrise
For the memory of her, burns his every limb
and the world goes topsy-turvy
As dark nights together, light their days alone

The song of freedom
Such a succulent chime
dripping with hope
precious and sublime

He writes it in his mind
Composes each lyric and draws every note
For better days lie ahead
And for now he’ll keep dancing
To the music in his head

Oh, I was asking about the poetry book but now I’m also interested in the novel but we’ll talk about that another time. I’m okay, just adjusting to the new norm for now, writing poetry and prose

Two distinct feelings I get from this, Jude. The first one is enflamed and the second is inspired. Together they are fabulous!

Ah… the music in our heads… each unique and different.
Every poem its own love beat – every poet their own yet willing to read others and share. A valuable commodity especially …now.
