Inheriting Nature (A triple collaboration)

Hello guys. I linked up with Aishwarya of Kittysverses to write a bit about man’s relationship with nature. I love her poetry and we’ve come to be friends through WordPress. Writing alongside her happens naturally for me so I really enjoy it, I hope you do too.

I’m also using photos taken by Amy of herlady pinkrose so this in a way is a 3way collaboration. Amy’s photography is divine, you gotta check it out. I’ll drop a link at the bottom

Well here goes:
Kitty did the normal italics,
I did the bold italics,

Inheriting Nature

AmyRose photography

Preps its foliage,
Tree calls its avian friends
Home sweet home again
A twig or two in their beaks
fresh berries to munch on

Melodious song birds
Tweetering in the air and chirping in the greens
As the wind whistles through the spectrum of leaves
Your home a musical paradise
An acapella of dreams

Role-model she,
Mother nature leaves to us
To be cold or care,
She knows she has taught well,
Unto us to make her proud.

Power to embellish
Power to destroy
An obvious choice it would seem
But for all the selfish schemes
Toeing that wrathful line of nature’s retribution

If we care for our,
Posterity, we’d care for,
Our supreme mother,
The legacy we leave behind,
Are the treasures she bestowed upon us.

If she could give
then she can take
Her love is strong
But only so
And her patience wanes

I believe that when man works with nature, everyone wins. We protect our environment and weave our innovations within nature. We have to find a way to exist in harmony.

  6. What a way to begin my day! Thank you, Jude! I could not agree more about how mankind …. US …. have to learn how to live harmoniously with Mother. If we look toward Mother for example and still our minds, She will show us how to live in peace and how to get along with everything in existence. I really enjoyed this effort between the 3 of us. May your day truly be blessed! xo

Very enjoyable. I’ve done collaborative poetry before. As well as flash fiction. When you don’t know what is ’round the bend you need to adapt. But it can be a very fun experience.

Collaborative poetry is what tanka and renga were supposed to be ๐Ÿ˜‰
    But when one doesn’t have a partner… they go … solo! ๐Ÿ˜€

Flash fiction sounds really interesting, yeah the fun is in having to adapt to your collaborator’s thoughts and still put yours forward as well
