Rural wonders

Lush bucolic world

Pristine with virgin hues of jade

He comes to you to learn

A green boy in a green world

Foraging through foliage

Guarding his verdant wealth

Knowing what is most important

For this week I’m posting something each day
To share, learn and engage with you as usual

But also to bring attention to my new weekly feature,
The Saturday Symphony (go on and have a peek)

I hope you like this poem

Stay safe, stay loving

We can be so very green and within a blink of an eye we have to snap out of that reverie and become self sufficient adults – so many of us before our true time.

I think too in general, children have lost childhood to too many electronic avenues. On some plane trips I look out the window and see so much open land and dream…

I’m so glad you picked up on the green boy line, it really meant a lot to me when I wrote it.
And yeah I guess it stiffles creativity but I also think that children dream differently now, create around technology.

My grandson creates videos on his ipad… But all the apps are right there. It isn’t like using watercolors on paper, or getting your hands dirty with forming clay. Very different indeed.
