Burdens of an angel

Made from beauty
Bred for perfection
Ahh how exquisite an angel gleams!
Resplendent in celestial glamour
Changing our perceptions of beauty.
See her golden wings
Her silver corset
Her glistening black leather
How flawless she is
How burdened to comform

Made from love
Bred for comfort
Ahh, how satiating an angel loves!
Is it his fault
That he gives her the love she needs
Does perfection come at a bitter price
Her vulnerability, his weakness
Abandoning his call to duty
For the instincts in his nature

Lonely one
Giving all yourself to the world
Depleted by betrayal
Toeing the blurred lines of good and evil
Ensnared by the connotations of this world

Oh forlorn angel
So burdened by perfection
White wings dark tales

The pursuit for a perfect life
Is the compromise of happiness

This verse reminds me of the movie I saw staring John Travolta called “Michael” – An angel who came to earth. I think you would enjoy that movie.

There was also a TV series called “Touched by an Angel” which actually portrayed ‘death’ as a kind welcoming angel ready to help those to ‘cross-over’.

Kind of reminds me of the chicken and the egg and which came first. Are we created in the image of angels or have our own creative minds set the standards of what angels must be perceived by?

And enjoyable enchanting read with all those images you included 🙂
