More than just words

what do you see #43

Can you show me where your love lies,
Amidst these remnants from suitors,
Pasted on the canvas of my heart.
Can you tell me
If love were a letter, what words would you use
Would you write the pleasures concealed behind your virtuous lips,
Scribe those desires too shameful to display

If love were a colour, which one would you choose
Red for passion, or blue for peace
Green for growth, or yellow for joy
What love do you seek and what love do you bring

If love were a font
Then how would you inscribe
What intimate twirls would you flourish
What sensual lines would you draft

If I read your love note aloud
Which sound would those words make
Which rhythm would they take
Would they sing of love
Or whisper of need.

Write deep and write true
As long as it’s you, it’ll have to do
Tell me you love me,
then show it to me too.

Sadje’s photo prompt really flicked on the romantic switch.

Emotions put in words are memories we can always remember.

~yours truly~

I hope you enjoy this.

Stay safe and stay loving.

  9. I wrote a piece for my hubby – it was read on our wedding day … Go figure though that some though he wrote it. – I didn’t mind though since my hubby knew I wrote it for him.

I’ve also written a sort of love verse for my eldest when a baby – from the babies view…

Words as well as actions combined help to make love real 😀

  18. A stunning interpretation of this photo! I love the images your words conjure of love’s font and color so unique to each individual. As a person who cannot choose one color, I enjoy the diversity of more than just words. 🙂
