Searching for Peace. #poetry and #prose

Peace and turmoil are all around us.
What we seek is what we often find.
And what we fear is what often finds us.
How then do we draw relief from a chaotic world?
How do we find peace amidst the turmoil?

Imagination
Gratitude
Change in perspective
Ancient remedies that have endured.

So,
Ailing soul,
why not take a look around,

Can you see the morning dew
As it clings to each blade of grass
A lover afraid to depart.

Envision your own liliput world
Thriving in your potted plants
A miracle you have nurtured.

Listen, to the early bird’s song
And the love-sprites that dance its siren notes
A celebration of every waking day

Watch, as sunset rays embrace the horizon
Witness the birth of purple dreams and orange desire
Beauty heralding an intimate night

Take a deep breath, beneath a sky full of stars
Catch the scent of the heavens
And enjoy the fragrance of wishes that come true

Oh Beleaguered soul
Won’t you let your mind wonder
Let imagination steal you away
For the pains and pangs of reality
Are often soothed in the Bossom of fantasy

I hope you enjoy this,

May we tap into the peace that surrounds us,
And weave some fantasy into our reality.

Stay safe everyone, stay loving.

  9. I love the way you’ve portrayed nature in such a soothing and calming tone. Peace and turmoil are within us and around us, sometimes we must choose to embrace one and let the other go.

We all need some fantasy now and then.
I like fairy stories, science fiction and ‘fun’ murder mysteries.
By fun I mean not gruesome deaths or to much romance, but the pleasure of solving the mystery as the writer offers up the clues.
