A lover’s curse. #Cinquain tales

The things that love makes us do,
The lengths to which all may go,
And the ones not many can comprehend.

Dark spells of passion
The secrets of longing hearts
Fires that burn for one
Too many times she has lost
For him, whatever it takes!

Desire
Breeds obsession
She calls on heathen gods
Heart bleeding with desperation
Distressed
Driven by love’s poisoned resolve
Stained, infatuated
Dark and lonely
Corrupt.
She aches
Virgin heartbreak
Revenge supplanting love
Reckless to blame only herself
Resigned
To weave her web of retrieval
A poison for rivals
Potion for him
Accursed

For all love is different,
And if it runs deep,
It’s heartbreak hurts like none before.

A friend on here, requested me to write her a tale told different about heartbreak.

I know the silver lining may be hard to see, but time and focus on oneself usually do the trick.

Let me know what you think about the tale, and if possible, leave a message for her in the comments section.

Stay safe everyone, stay loving.

Always give yourself love, but if you need a little more, I got you!

P.S

it’s the last day for The Saturday Symphony entries, don’t miss out.

I love the visual pattern it creates, there’s name for such poems ugh but I can’t recall the term just now. 🖤

These are a pair of butterfly cinquains. The syllable restrictions naturally lead to the shape.
