She glides on heels of eventide
Floats, in an aura of fantasy
Her skin is flushed with the beauty of virtue
Lips that gleam with rose-petalled hues
Her fragrance so subtle, fresh as a dream
Her smile so supple, soft as a thought
In her eyes I see, reflections of need
And deeper within, burdens of perfection
Too many admire, yet none approach
Her beauty too precious, too often preserved
But always she longs
Always she craves
A flutter of touch
A delicate kiss
And a moonlight caress.
She hopes,
For a ripple of desire
Yearns,
To stir the currents of passion
So look,
For the truth in her eyes
And wade,
those verdant pools of Elysium
For there you’ll find
That perfection is lonely
And two –
Is always better than one

In the pools of Elysium
The lonely lily drifts
Seeking, Dreaming
Of love

I sometimes think, ‘At the end of perfection, lies the desire to be flawed’
I do hope you enjoy this,
And I very much welcome your thoughts.
