What is the difference between the soul and the spirit,
And where does the mind come in?
For only when these three work in harmony,
Can we find true peace and happiness.
So as you read on,
May you search for the distinctions,
Feel the affinity,
And most of all,
Make the connections.

For without belief,
There can be no Spirit.
Let the mind be my eyes
Let the soul cradle my desires
And let the spirit invoke divine wisdom.
On the edges of peaceful slumber
At the precipice of dreams
The aspects of my being yearn for each other
For only in that sentient world beyond consciousness,
Do they truly commune
The mind heralding reason
The soul auguring emotion
And the spirit wielding belief.
As I mount the winds of imagination
My mind draws a canvas of reality
My soul plots that canvas with hope
And the spirit intuits a destination

In the realm of dreams
I glide on wings of wonder
To places unknown
And those I long to know
Mind, soul and spirit unite
Each aiding the other.

To sate my lonely soul
The mind will conjure
A fragrance of love
With the freshness of adventure
A tulip and lilac scent
Kissed by spring and ocean-sent
To soothe my hopeless mind
The spirit will guide
To the miracles of this world
And the bliss of belief
From recoveries that baffle medicine
To the magic of gratitude
To aid my waning spirit
The soul will lend heart
To strengthen devotion
With hope as a start
The doors opened by kindness
And the rewards of selfless love

So I weave with strings of hope
Adorn with beads of resolve
And christen with feathers of belief
My Dreamcatcher
To ward the nightmares away
And draw the insight from dreams.
What is the difference between the soul and the spirit,
And where does the mind come in?
The soul drives emotion and conscience
The spirit wields belief and Will
And the mind makes it all reality
To not believe beyond physical sight,
Is to stifle the spirit,
And render one incomplete.

While I believe in many different things… I think that perhaps for me spirit and or soul could be one thing – that intuitive voice that the mind often neglects. Dreams are just to weird for me to fathom making a whole lot of sense in reality. Sometimes I notice changes that I haven’t made in dreams, like when an older child becomes young. Or I am dealing with a celebrity that I have never met. Often I wonder about outcomes in dreams that I cannot control. Mostly I just think dreams are quite a bit of the days bombardment of stimuli attempting to gain some recognition or focus. π
It is good to honor and attempt to understand others views π

Thank you very much Jules. I acknowledge your point of view. Wasn’t the angle I approached this from but I agree it’s a balance to it. Not everyone puts stock in dreams and that’s not a fault

Interestingly enough, Jude, I had a similar conversation with another blogger recently about keeping our minds open and being accepting of possibilities.

Yeah we don’t have to comprehend everything that comes there and then. Sometimes we have to take our time

The mind is like the bridge between body and spirit. The soul is the spiritual mind.
