Round the world I long to go
To see what you have seen
To touch what you have touched
Yet here I am
The world around me
Last weekend I took a trip to the countryside; into the Savannah…
I am here but also there
In a dream, yet cradling a wish
Lost in another’s world
Until I am lost in mine
We took a walk in the wilderness, I got distracted, I lost myself, and my guides…
I eventually found the guides by roughly following in the last direction I’d seen them; just barely glimpsing them before I could decide to retrace my steps.
An arch is a threshold
A gateway from one thing to another
And so I crossed;
From the natural to the modern…
I went to the pool for the first time in more than a year of covid restrictions. Coincidentally, I passed through an arch, though not the one in the image above.
I long for my dream
I long for my wish
But I wear a pair of goggles
And shelve them within reach
So I may see the dreams in front of me
And thus dear reader; may you do the same…
”Shhh! It’s your turn now.“
I thought that since it’s Saturday, and The Saturday symphony is still on ice, I’d share a little of me in this.
I also wrote this for a few of my favorite midweek prompts;
- Eugi’s weekly prompt – Round the world.
- #writephoto by KL Caley – Arch.
- Reena’s exploration challenge – Start or end your piece with; “Shhh! It’s your turn now.”
Looking forward to corresponding in the comments section.
Blessed weekend everyone.
